Join us for a festive reception that brings everyone together.
In past years, our awards were presented during a formal banquet that followed a separate reception. While that tradition was always lovely, the required dinner ticket limited attendance. This year, the K-SAA Board voted to combine both parts of the evening into one inclusive celebration. It will be a single open reception that is accessible, lively, and community spirited.

Reception begins at 6:30 p.m.
Awards program begins around 7:15 p.m.

There will be a cash bar and complimentary appetizers along with a small stage and microphone for the awards, encomia, and honoree remarks.
Ricarda’s is a beautiful contemporary restaurant in Toronto’s Entertainment District, known for its warm atmosphere, high ceilings, and Mediterranean inspired cuisine. It will be a perfect setting for a joyful KSAA gathering.
We are especially pleased to announce that our 2026 Distinguished Scholar Awards will honor Julia M. Wright and Richard C. Sha, whose contributions to Romanticism we are thrilled to celebrate together. Learn more here.

Instead of our usual format of a split reception and banquet-style dinner, we’ll be hosting a single festive reception that
brings everyone together.
This gathering will feature recognition of our award recipients, including encomia and brief remarks from the honorees; and a celebratory atmosphere, with happy hour drinks and hors d’oeuvres for all.
