K-SAA New Podcast Series “Global Mapping of Romanticism”

How has Romanticism been transmitted, received, adapted, transfigured, and renewed around the globe? What kind of transcultural dialogue, interaction, or collaboration has thereby been induced?

Not just to answer but to widen these questions, later this year, we aim to launch K-SAA’s new podcast series titled “Global Mapping of Romanticism.”

Our goal is to create a warm community that welcomes anyone who is interested not just in Keats and the Shelleys but also in Romanticism in its broadest sense to join our appreciation and celebration.

We hope to underline the fluid nature of Romanticism and its apparent ability to dissolve spatial, temporal, and national boundaries.

At the same time, on an academic level, Romanticism has undeniably been a Eurocentric field of study even if "Romantic" texts and readers cross cultures all over the world.

How can we map Romanticism globally without imposing Eurocentric paradigms?

Our first episode, featuring two guest speakers from different corners of the word, is now in its progress and will be released in due course.
