On January 7, 2023 from 6:30 - 10:30PM PST, the K-SAA and friends will gather at San Francisco’s historic Palace Hotel for our Annual MLA Awards Dinner. Located at 2 New Montgomery Street, The Palace has been considered a San Francisco landmark since its original construction in 1875 (with this status being made official in the 1980s). Destroyed by the notorious 1906 San Francisco earthquake, it was rebuilt to be more splendid than ever and has been a destination for artists, writers, politicians, and other visitors to the city since 1909.

At the MLA Reception and Awards Dinner, the K-SAA will celebrate the recipients of this year's Distinguished Scholars Awards, Elizabeth Fay and Greg Kucich, as well as the 2022 awardees of the Carl H. Pforzheimer, Jr. Grant and the K-SAA Essay Prize.

This will be our first in-person banquet in three years, and we are excited to be in community with you once again! In light of this return to festivities, and with our hopes to make all feel welcome, please consider sponsoring a junior colleague or bringing someone new to the dinner.
