The K-SAA Annual MLA Awards Dinner
Palace Hotel, San Francisco, CA
6:30 - 10:30 pm PST

After holding virtual events in January 2021 and 2022, the K-SAA is happy to announce that we will return to an in-person event for our Annual MLA Awards Dinner on January 7, 2023, at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco! Please join us for a cash bar from 6:30 - 8:00 pm, followed by dinner from 8:00 - 10:30.

During the dinner we will announce this year’s winners of the Carl H. Pforzheimer, Jr. Research Grants and the K-SAA Essay Prize. Dinner attendees will also have the opportunity to honor our two recipients of the K-SAA Distinguished Scholar Award: Libby Fay and Greg Kucich (with encomia offered by, respectively, Orrin Wang and Jeffrey Cox). As past attendees can testify, the awards portion of the evening—recognizing up-and-coming scholars with the Pforzheimer Grants, identifying vital current scholarship with the Essay Prize, and celebrating the career-long contributions of eminent members of the profession through the Distinguished Scholar Awards—is always a highlight of our sociable gathering. So please join us for a wonderful evening of food, drink, and camaraderie!
