Byron Books: An interview with Sir Drummond Bone and Professor Andrew Stauffer

2024 is – perhaps unsurprisingly – a momentous year for Byronists around the world, not only because there are so many important events celebrating Lord Byron’s life and works but also because there are so many marvellous new books about Byron coming out. Two such are Professor Andrew Stauffer’s Byron: A Life in Ten Letters and Sir Drummond Bone’s The Cambridge Companion to Byron (2nd ed). It is fitting, therefore, that we bring these two titans of Byronism together to hold a transatlantic discussion about their new books – and to consider Byron’s continued relevance to us today.
