What to Expect
In past years, our awards were presented during a formal banquet that followed a separate reception. While that tradition was always lovely, the required dinner ticket limited attendance. This year, the K-SAA Board has voted to combine both parts of the evening into one inclusive celebration. It will be a single open reception that is accessible, lively, and community spirited.
This year's gathering will feature recognition of our award recipients in a warm, celebratory atmosphere. We'll honor our Pforzheimer awardees, the annual Essay Prize winner, and this year's beloved Distinguished Scholars, Julia M. Wright and Richard C. Sha.
There will be a cash bar and complimentary appetizers along with a small stage and microphone for the awards, encomia, and honoree remarks.
Whether you're a seasoned member or a new face in our community, we especially want to celebrate alongside graduate students and contingent faculty. Join us for happy hour drinks and hors d'oeuvres as we toast to the achievements of our colleagues and the vitality of our scholarly community.
